Last night my RBTA walked into a MaxiJet 12000. So I got to wake up to a cloudy tank and pieces of it all over the tank. Some of the foot is still alive, what would be the best way to try to save it? I'll update pics after work. THanks guys.

Will watch for pictures and go from there.
Best guess right now is it wont survive.
I hope you did a big water change before leaving for work???

i second everything he said... i had a condy get sucked up into the PH once,, no pieces but i had to disconnect the power and remove it into a seperate area so it could walk out on its own...

if you didnt do a water change before leaving expect some deaths, they release toxins when damaged...

Just got home going to start a water change, I am trying to set up small tank to move it as well. Here are the before and after pics. I'm trying to move around a little.

Poor thing, can you tell if its still alive?
Turn off the intake and see if it will back out on its own.
One thing about removing dead anemones, suction them out, dont lift them out, they will come all appart, suction works best.
Cant tell from the pics what condition it is in, to blurry.

mine did too..here's what I did

mine did too..here's what I did

see link for info...i got some of the black mesh covering and covered the intakes.......decreased flow a little but worth it,luckly i saw mine before it was too late...just started getting sucked in ...shut it down and gently removed it from the intake...all appears well i relocated the anemone to the other side of the tank, has been there since the incident

p.s. got mine in the craft section at wal-mart it was like $1.00
and used cable ties to secure it

It is still alive it's moved the intake around a little, it also suctioned itself to the glass. Thanks for the info guys!

Great MR. Glad to hear you got it all covered and hope it does well,
Kordis. Sounds like it may just make it, dont move it if you can help it.
Watch for the fillaments coming out or it turning inside out, then pull it, otherwise it may just make it.

If you use the tank water from your tank, no problem.
Just be carefull moving it as you may rip it further, is it out of the intake?

Well so far I have almost set up new 20 gal. Starting big water change in the 75, will be using mostly old tank water for new tank. The Anemone has gotten 50% of whats left out of the intake gaurde. Still looks realy bad but he's trying. I will update with pics when I have them. Thanks for you help folks.

Well got home from work, the anemone got itselft out of the intake guards. Looks realy bad, I have a feeling he'll rot =( He keep attaching himself to my clam.

Anemones are amazing animals, yours is splitting now.
Do a quick water change and keep an eye on her.
I bet ya a donut she lives and splits for you, your water quality is very important right now and keep the temp at 78 for her healing.
Post pics as she tears in half.
Good luck, will keep an eye out for the pics of mom and daughter;)

Well bad news looks like she's giving up and rotting. She inflated a little yesterday, today looks like she's not going to make it. =(
