Does anyone know why my anemone would be getting brown spots on it? And what I can add to the tank to help the color? other then that it is in good health

What type of anemone is it? And what is its current color?

Was/is white/light in color? There is a chance that it is regaining its zoax, --- symbiotic algae.

I am not sure what type it is but its diameter is about 12" and its bright yellow I found it at a local fish store about 3 months ago. When I feed it silversides it will eat about 4 whole ones at one time.

It sounds like you have a dyed anemone. Probably H. Crispa. Hard to say without a pic, though. If it is dyed, the brown spots are a good sign, and the yellow will go away. Just keep feeding it and you may be able to save it.
