It is a very bleached Sebae (( H. crispa )).

And to be blunt, the odds of it recovering are very low.

But, what size tank, how long has it been set up, and what lights do you have?

Since some sebaes are H. malu, it is also a possibility. The important thing is that both H. crispa and H. malu seem to prefer sand. Bleaching of anemones/ coral does occur in the wild. A bleached anemone can recover its symbiotic zo..., but it will not happen without excellent water parameters, regular feeding, and gradual light acclimation.

I just purchased a sebae also and it's white with purple tips. the foot is also white. should I turn one set of my t5's off. Or how can you tell if it's bleached

You can tell if it is bleached if it is white. White isn't a normal color for a healthy hosting anemone.

As for acclimating to lights, I prefer to use window screening - as opposed to shortening the photo-period. Put some egg create over the tank -- between the water and the lights. Then put 3 layers of window screening on top of the egg create. Each week take off a layer.

ok thanks guys i thought it would be fine under my lights because when it was at the lfs it was under mh thanks for letting my know
