Anemones and Amino acid

First time I'm seeing this thread, but I'll respond.

No I have never dosed amino anything to keep healthy anemones. I focus more on keeping perfect water chemistry, anemone-appropriate lighting, anemone-appropriate water flow, and moderate feeding when I want to grow them faster than they will grow without supplemental food.

Thanks bonsainut I had some left over from sps days and was wondering if it would help or not. Didnt know if this was a food source or not. I have two tanks one with hadoni and bubble tip the other one with a large purple gigantea. I dont run anything but a cal reactor. No gfo or carbon. All lighting 400 watt m/h

I dose vitamins and amino acids occasionally. I also soak the anemones food in it. Amino acids aren't really food. They're the building blocks of protein. The anemones use protein to build tissue for growth and healing, gametes for reproduction, and all the pretty colors we like to see. I dose more frequently when I have a new anemone that's not actively feeding.
