i'm highly interested in purchasing an anemone and i want your opinion on whether my tank is appropriate for an anemone to survive and thrive, and also, which species of anemone would be easy to care for and also would become a host for a false percula?

55gal long.
60lbs LR
40lbs LS
20gal sump/fuge
216watt 50/50
medium/high flow
amm...0
nitrite...0
nitrate...15
Ca...480
temp...79-80
sg...1.025

also, i have some softies in the tank. but besides that. all of my fishes are safe.

i need help ID-ing the new anemone i just acquired. i have no digi cam. but what i can say is that it's cream color and the tip is not extremely long nor bubble tip but it does have purple tips. my clown seems to be staying away from it. i got it for 10 bucks at a bag sale so i couldn't pass it up. i put him in this morning and now he looks fine and doing much better than this morning so that's a good sign.

it will if it wants to. I have hosted clowns in atlantic anemones for years. It's not it's natural host but they usually take to it very well. The only problem is that they seem to roam a LOT and their sting is enought to kill other corals in the tank. They are gorgeous though.

stykthyn, he just said it was the sebae(one of the 10 host species-not the condy)...i have seen false clowns host in them before
