Hello Everyone

Last year I got a leather coral from my LFS. It had a small anemone on it. Smaller than a dime. The worker there told me it was a purple rose anemone. It's my first one and it's grown now bigger than a quarter in maybe 7 months. Now whats strange is there are two of them. I never saw two before and there was only one on the coral. They are both the same size. Can anyone I.D. them for me? I took some pic's today. Thanks Mike

hard to tell with such a small pic but I'm pretty sure those are aipstasia. If so, you're best to kill them while you can. Do a search to find pics and descriptions.

It's Aiptasia and here's why:

The store give it to you knowing it was there !!

If it was of any value, they would not knowingly give it to you for free. If it was in fact a purple rose bubble tip anemone, you would probably have been charge another $80.00.

And basically the person lied to you. If I were you, I would never shop there again.

It didn't look like the aiptasia I first had on my rock. The peppermint shrimp eat them all. I will remove the peice of rock and get rid of them now. Thanks.

do a search for 'mojano' they are really pretty... but they start splitting.. and splitting.. and splitting.. they never get bigger than a quarter before they split agian. i used needle nose pliers and removed mine a few months ago. couldent use a chemical or oanything, they were smack in the middle of a poylp rock
