Hey guys need some help here.

Im trying to determine if my wife anemone is a gonner or is still able to recover. I believe its a rittery anemone.

Ok heres whats going on. Her anemone has shrunken down to a silver dollar coin size and the insides are fully exposed in the center. Its releasing mucus like substance and clouding the water. The anemony body & foot still feels solid and firm. Anny suggestions on what to do or is it deff a gonner.

Water parameters is completely normal and salinity at 1.025.

Let me get some pics up. I lowered my actinics leds that way the picture came out as clear as possiblr

Sadly, I think it's a goner. When anemones invert like that, they usually begin to deteriorate shortly after. I would remove it, especially if its clouding your tank.

Thanks for the feedback. I had a feeling it was going but we wantes to get a second opinion. Ill remove it now before water gets worse.

Thanks mike. Hope u had a great holiday.

Yes, take it out now. I felt the same way for my first anemone. It's foot was still strong and it wasn't releasing mucus so I thought it might make it. I did try to remove it a couple of times but it would not release itself from the rocks. It ended up dying and trashing my tank.
