Anenome dangers?

can a sick or dying anenome do anything to damage or hurt other tank inhabitants or the quality of water?

It's a long tip anenome, about 10 inches across.

Anemones rapidly decay when they die(almost dissolving), causing your water quality to decline incredibly fast which can definitely kill basically everything in the tank.

okay, thanks. Think mine is okay then. Attached itself to the overflow and had part of its foot go through. The part that went through was just about severed and had turned a white/grey, and smelled a bit. It was held on by just a fine thread of a foot....I severed the part that looked like it was dead. Moved the anenome and I think he looks fine.....hope I did the right thing.

I'm certainly no expert and I have had no experience with this myself, but from what i've read, it sounds like a lot of anemones have a really tough time recovering from damage to their foot.
