Good to hear you are seeing improvement with the nitrates. Yeah, I think Amquel is a good product for dechlorination. I wouldn't rely on it for nitrate control. Regular water changes and the things I've already mentioned to you, beside feeding sparingly, are the best ways to keep nitrates in check.
