Angel dilema

If you had a choice between keeping a juvenille emporer $89.99 or a 6 inch Queen in adult colors $199.99 which would you choose?

They are both incredibly cool looking..

Well how big is your tank and how big the the emperor. I personally like Queens more than emperors but emperors are my second favorite

If it was me, I'd go for the Emperor. You get two fish in one with the change in colour! However, what should be more important to the decision is 1) how big your tank is (which may mean to pass on both; and 1) which is healthier? If there are any signs/indications of disease/faded colours etc, I would pass on the fish. Also keep in mind that as this fish grow then can become quite the bullies - not mention potential issues with consuming reef inhabitants. So, if you have something in your tank now that your really like, make sure it (and the system) would be compatible with a large Angel.

I would go with the queen but be prepared for a cocky and bullish fish. Plus like posted before make sure you tank is big...

For me the choice would be what other tankmates are going to be included in the system. The emp is a mellower fish and could have a much wider range of tankmates than a queen. Another factor is that smaller angels usually adapt better to captivity but I dont think you would have a problem with a 6 inch queen either.

The juvvie Emp for one reason only - its a juvvie.

For me, more than half the fun is seeing the fish 'grow up' - and the colour/shape change in the Emp in particular is stunning.

Now, if the Queen was a juvvie it'd be a much harder decision...

Of course, my strategy leaves you 110 bucks to play with too !
