Angel fish compatability...

I've got a small Three Spot Angel/Flagfin Angel/Apolemichthys trimaculatus about three inches in size and am wondering about adding a slightly larger Bellus angel (Genicanthus bellus).

The tank is 6x2x2 and there are no other angels, do you perceive any issues between these two?

I can't speak for either of those two angels, but I have found that angels get along peacefully in the same tank. I currently have a Majestic and an Asfur in the tank, and have no problems. You always need to worry at first due to newcomer in my territory sysndrome, but after that, they should be fine. Use a acclimitization box to get the new fish adjusted and to let the established one get used to the newcomer.

both would ignore each other in large tank with some rockscape. Well check bellus quality if not fish raised in aquarium, such large fish must be well checked for decompression problems as larger fish usually carry more problems than smaller ones at least for bellus ...

Thanks for the replies. The Bellus is being sold on by a fellow reefer who has had it for over six months so should be over any decomp issues!

Cheers

Chris
