I am unsure of what type of angelfish this is. I am calling it a blue angel but I'm not sure if I'm right. Please tell me what type of angel this is. It measures about 6".
(Correct me if I'm wrong) blue angel doesn't have a crown (blue spot on head.) A Townsend is a common hybrid out of the Caribbean (queen x blue). Looks like a Townsend...
This. But the problem is that townsend angels aren't always 50/50 queen/blue or they may be generation +1 or greater. Perhaps one way would be to say that anything that doesn't look 100% queen (curved lines) or 100% blue (straight lines) could be a mixture of the two but may be a direct or indirect descendent. Here is a "teenage" townsend.
The last few angels I have seen sold as Townsend angels looked just like the one in the picture. Other know more than me about "blues" or "Townsend" angels clearly... Not a angel I have kept before. Just because they were sold as Townsend angels doesn't mean the store owner was any more knowledgable then me with them.:headwally::reading:
Couldn't agree more, as for large angels I prefer the False personifers and scribbleds much more than most others but there are fish for everyone out there.
