Angelfish question

I have a 90 gallon tank and I'm starting to look at fish I want to put in there and I was just wondering if two dwarf angelfish would be a problem?

Get a confirmed pair (not easy to find) or pair them yourself (not for the timid) by introducing a larger one to a very small one (put the small one in first) - they start out female and turn into males as they get larger, and males in the wild can be found with "harems" of females.

However, put two larger males together and it will not be pretty...:(

Not sure if your intention is a "pair" or two? If two, be selective of the species. Cherubs and Flamebacks are cute but can be obnoxious! I have a Flame and Coral Beauty together without issue. Best to introduce both at same time to avoid big battles.

If doing a "pair", heed the advice above :)

I can confirm flamebacks can be feisty for sure. I have one in qt with a coris wrasse and diamond goby and after a few days he became a little bugger and I had the divide my 20L and when the wrasse is out he patrols the divider lol and she is only like 3/4" :)

No I don't want to pair them I just like that specie of fish and instead of a tang I think I want a flame angel and some other type. Maybe a potter or bicolor?

Yes, I think you can keep two dwarf angels of different species together in a 90g, especially if you have lots of live rock. The more hiding places, the better.

If you do the ones you suggested. I would add the potters first. They can be somewhat shy so let him get a little established then add the flame. atleastthats how I would do it.

I have a large flame and a medium potters in a 265, introduced at the same time, and they seem to be getting along just fine. If you cannot introduce them at the same time, use of an acclimation box can be quite helpful.

I have a flame and a coral beauty in a 90 now and they ignore eachother. Make sure they are introduced at the same time. The coral beauty was there well before the flame and the CB was definitely going to kill the flame. Removed the CB for 24 hours or so and then reintroduced. All good since.
