Angry Maxima

I added a maxima clam about 2 months ago, approx 3 inches, and he's been open ever since. Firmly attached to rock. Appeared happy as a clam. Has a visible line of growth since adding it. 2 days ago I noticed an aptasia that my pep wouldn't eat. I shot the aptasia with kalk paste and I suspect the clam got a taste of the kalk and has been closed up tight for 2 days.

Any advice/suggestions?
