Anomone in trouble?

I just purchased a Green Bubble tip from my LFS about a week and half ago. All seemed to be going very well until the last couple days. The two clowns I have LOVE the anemone, so much so they don't leave it alone. I have been feeding the anemone frozen (thawed) brine shrimp.

I had a rose bubble tip before and it died about 2 months ago. It did the same thing, but on a daily basis and was also spewing brown stringy crap daily, even though he lasted about 2 months before dying.

I'm due for a water change, and will be doing that today then testing the water specs. My water levels haven't ever been too much out of wack, and I have a chiller now, so the water is about 77-79. As for the lighting, it's weird because it seems to be happier when not in the light. I have my lights come on at 5pm-11pm, when I'm home to enjoy them. But during the day the anemone is actually at it's fullest point and seems the happiest.

Thoughts?

Perhaps it is a lighting acclimation issue. What were they under before you bought them and what are they under now?

When I called back, the store did say their lighting is old and needs replacing. So at this point, if that's the issue, how do I acclimate it?

So is it normal for an anemone to deflate almost daily and then fill back up? Almost like doing a water change? Or should they pretty much stay full and open all of the time?
