Another BTA in Vortech

My newly aquired BTA last night wondered into my vortech last night. Not sure how long he was on top getting sucked down on the power head. I got him off and he was in real rough shape. A lot of damage to him. I moved him and placed him in a gentle flow area of the tank. His foot did attach and he walked down in between teo rocks. Does anyone think he will recover? I'm going to leave him in there until I see no hope. I owe it to this beautiful sea creature. Any tips on nursing it back to health?

Mine recovered from the same thing a few years ago. My advice is to put something around the power head so he can't get sucked into it. Like filter floss wrapped around it with a rubberband for example.

How long was he stuck for? Extensive damage? Recovery time? Anything you u did to help in its recovery?

not sure how long....I woke up and he was there. I just left him alone and within a few days couldn't even tell it happened.
