Beautiful Louis. I particularly like #1 and #4.

To me, the bull moose in #4 elevates the pic considerably. How did you get him to lie down in the lighter / browner area so he stood out so well? ;)

thanks guys :).

RB - yeah, well I meet up with him earlier and we decided that was the best spot. We put some tape on the grass so he had a mark to return too (lol). You know it's funny, a lot went my way last night. This guy was placid as hell. That was taken at like 40mm or so, I think and was maybe 20-25 feet from him! He didn't really care much because he was too pre-occupied with the other moose going bonkers accross the valley. That was a 2 sec exposure! (I actually bracketed and masked it in PS because the contrast was way to much for a single exposure). As luck would have it he was in a good spot. I just had to position myself properly and he ended up well positioned regarding the background.

IPT has a little tranquilizer dart gun hooked to his camera.

Those are good shots, are they taken up at powerline pass?

In deed Grant they were. Hard to believe but he was pretty hidden. I had riden almost 8 mikes before I spotted his rack. They are huge but they can just appear and disappear in an instant.

great images Louis. I was wondering how you manage to not scare away your subjects.. I should have known a bike was involved. way to put the effort in.

Thanks for sharing.

That is the beauty of this place. Great place to keep fit, get out and enjoy nature, and see some AMAZING things!

It still amazes me sometimes, well often actually that this is ony 10 mins from my house and I live only 15 mns from DOWNTOWN! Cold, shmold, Alaska rocks.

PS: Got my fisheye yesterday. Seems like it'll be a fun lens. Most likely will not be suitable for moose, but live fast take chances...never know! Imagine how big that rack would look all distorted from the wide angle view :)!
