another CBB question - HELP !

I got a CBB yesterday from my lfs in trade for some Xenia that I brought in. It is about 2-3 inches and looks great. I put him in my sump / refugium thinking he would love the huge amounts of pods and mysis in my Chaeto. The sump volume is about 30 gallons of water. Today I found him stuck headfirst in the intake for my ASM G2 skimmer. I immediately removed him and he swam away but his right eye appears popped out. He can move it but it isn't tight to his body like the other one. Will he make it and will his eye "fix" itself ?? I fed him cyclop-eeze earlier today before the incident and he ate it immediately which was very encouraging given what I have read about CBB. I put some mesh over the intake for now. I want to let him be as I am sure it was traumatic. Excuse my anthropomorphism.

Thanks.

oh man that sounds kinda disturbing and sad. I hope it recovers. I'm sure worst case it can manage w/ one eye, unless some disease develops in the bad eye area and slowly kills the fish.

Good luck.

I am now cautiously optimistic. The CBB's eye seems to be normal again and he was out this morning routing around the sand and chaeto in my fuge presumably looking for pods and mysis. He is so small I hope he is resilient.

Feed him while you can. May be ok in the near future if you keep feeding. I feed mine at least 3 times a day and he is fat and sassy. Cyclopeeze won't do as he would need to eat a ton of it just to fill his gut, unless he was eating big clumps of it. Feed him frozen mysis, brine shrimp if you have to, clams, squid, mussels, etc.
