Another Elegance Dying – Aussi

its going to take several years? that sounded too long imo. coral can recover quite quickly. i would say several months, but not years.

Yes. Several years. Look at the coral in post #12, then look at my avatar. I have other pic's if you need them. The coral can not make this transition in several months. It will take years.

Thanks for the feedback. I will try spot feeding more regularly. Right now I just spot feed a few ml of Arcti Pods maybe once a week. I will try to spot feed at least twice a week. Do you think the Arcti Pods are enough?

"light colored bands of nematocysts should begin to appear around the tentacles"

Can you explain this quote so I can better look for this sign of improvement?

Although I try to keep my CA and Alkalinity at the right levels I should honestly say that I am regularly on the low side. 6-8 KH vs 8-10, and 360-400 CA vs 400-450. Could this be a major contributor? I would say my levels are on the low side 20-30% of the time. I am making an effort to be more consistent with my two part dosing and keep the levels of KH and CA higher.

FYI my lighting = 12 hours total using 6x 54W bulbs with 3 sets for 8 hours each = 4 hours of full 324W, 4 hours 216W, and 4 hours 108W. Tank is 20" deep.
