Another option for red bugs

I think we have two products here with two different active ingredients. The most success stories I can see come from "gem killer' type with Sodium O-phenylphenate. I used second type with Imidacloprid with original dosing of 0.5ml in 2 cups it had no effect on my red bug population. Same with 1ml dosing. I see few posts with dosing up to 10ml on 1/2 cups that is much more then I used in my treatment... Is it for Imidacloprid or O-phenylphenate?

I have read the entire post but I am also confused as to dosage for each product and duration of dip. Is it .5ml in 2 cups or 10 ml in 2 cups and for how long. Can anyone succinctly summarize the recommendations at this time.

I am just staring to get into corals. I will be mainly keeping zoas at first. Would this be good to dip new arrivals with or should I stick with something more proven like Coral RX?

Good question would this be a good all around dip or Judith for treating acropora. Has anyone tried this with montiporas?

for zoas tank I would say keep using CoralRX. Even if you get (somehow) RedBugs on your newly acquired zoa colony they will die withing 5-6 days from starvation. They need Acro to survive. CoralRX does not kill RB and has little effect on AEFW (read doesn't kill them either). So in my opinion as stand along dip it useless for hard corals. I tried concentration like x20 times recommended dose with RB happily crawling... I think they even like this smelly bath.

bump for effective dosage per active ingredient. Anyone?

Ok guys I've been dipping 8ml bayer to 1 liter of tank water for 15 minutes and have not yet had any problems with my corals from what I'm reading here it seems my dose may be to large how much are you guys using for a liter of water? I just seen on page 2 its 4ml for 1/2 liter so my dose should be dead on am I correct in this assumption?

Here's a video of how I've been dipping.

I used 5ml to 4 cups of water of the Bayer with germ killer (some maybe a little more) and all my corals did fine. All colors are still bright and polyps are returning within hours, some much sooner, even immediately. I am so happy!!!!!!

I use the complete insect killer and it works fine. 4ml per 8oz I had a bellina that had rb the only one in the tank I dipped and Walla all gone. Interesting side note I dipped all my acros in this solution prior and the rb only stayed on that bellina never went close to the others. Wonder if it has a lasting effect on acros dipped, and how long does it last.

i dipped a few frags i have that were infested and all i can say is WOW this stuff really works well i haven't seen pe like what im now getting ever. they most likely have had red bugs since day one as i dident qt them or dip them. i will be dipping the rest of my acros and boy i hope that there is some kind of lasting effect

Has anyone tried this product on anenomies? I've read it works well on LPS and SPS but would like to ensure all items introduced to my tank are "clean"
