Sorry for asking this because im sure its asked often. First off all lets start off by saying I have a Minolta Diamge Z2 which takes great pics so Im not looking for a DSLR. With that said Im looking for a Point and Shoot camera around $300 that can still take decent pics of fish. Want something that is smaller and fits in my pocket. Anyone have any suggestions. Im looking at both Canon and Nikon. Any ideas?

A lot of people seem to like Nikon's coolpix line.

I really like how this one looks.

I have to agree with Ed. Many people rave about what a great camera it is. I have had a few times to work with them and the older models and they are great cameras.

I have a Sony Cybershot point and shoot which takes fantastic pictures. Here's a link to the latest one and an image...............

Same camera, just two colors:D

There are many more to choose from, look through the different camera websites to get a feel for what you can get for $300.

Happy Choosing;)

There are tons of good cameras out there. For tank pictures the ability to set a custom white balance point will greatly improves your chances of getting a good shot. Not all cameras have that option; it's worth checking for it.
