Hey all,
I decided to rescue another fish after the Purple Tang. I was given a female Bartlett's Anthias who was abused by her tankmates. Her fins are in fair shape, and overall she looks fine, but she just lies on the bottom of the tank gasping. She was previously in a very healthy well-established environment, and there's no sign of disease. If the fish is stressed to this extent, what should I do? I was contemplating a freshwater dip in methylene blue just to relax the fish, but I'm worried pulling the fish out of the tank may scare it worse. Thoughts?
