Another sick Anemone? I hope not.

I have had a BTA for about a week or two. It has been doing really well. Looks nice and was eating Mysis yesterday. I took this pic last night.

This morning it looked like this.

Both pics are from the same angle. It did take a small piece of silverside about 20 minutes ago and seems to be not as shriveled up.

When I first put it in the tank it moved around for a few days and then settled in the spot it is in now. Which is on the underside of the rock. When it was fully open it would be up above the rock like in the first picture. There, it is less than 12 inches away from the lights. Which are 2 65w 10,000K PC's and 2 65w Actinics. It has always looked really colorfull and happy.

my 2 Ocelaris clowns do not host in it.

My tank parameters are:
temp 79
SG 1.025
PH 8.4
KH between 180-300 (I have a cheap strip tester)
nitrite 0
Nitrate 20
Ammonia 0

I know the nitrates are a little to high. What is the best way to lower that? I know I am an overfeeder and am working on that. The fish seem so happy when I come to feed them.

it is a 75g with only a few fish (2 Ocelaris Clowns, 2 Diamond watchmen gobies, 3 peppermint shrimp, 1 small blueline Cowfish, 3 turbo snails, 3 hermit crabs, and some kind of red coral that the anemone came on)

Looks like its just getting rid of waste or its changing its own water. If so it should return back to normal in a few hours. It might stay like that all day. the best way to get the nitrates down is to do a good water change.

It may take a while for your ocellaris to move into a bta since its not their natural host. Some times it takes less than a week for ocellaris to accept a bta as a host but that usually only happens when the bta is at least 9-12 inches. The size of your bta it may take months for the ocellaris to even look at the anemone.

It's just getting rid of waste; you haven't anything to worry until you see it getting smaler when filled, or looking like it's losing flesh and color. It will cycle like this at its own pace, mine will do it every other day for a few days, and then not do it at all for a few, seemingly random.
