lol those are very nice I wish I coulda bought some but thanks for the freebee I owe you one in the future :)

no big deal I broke that off a colony ---

Where did you get it

Where did you get it

And how much was it? Ive been looking for a nice clove for a while but they are so expensive. Do they like a lot of flow? I thought cloves liked lower flows. REB

Color is the worst way to classify something.

Anthelia is Anthelia sp.
Clove polyps is Clavularia sp.

Looks the same in some species but as a genus whole, they can look wildly different.

I will never classify by color again. Not sure what to call blue tort, green star polyps, red monti caps or purple people eaters anymore. Guess I will just cut the color off the name.

All right, let me step in between you two again. I think what Pee Wee is saying is that you can't classify two diff. species (or genus) by color. In other words, you can't say: "A hammer looks very much like a frogspawn, but a hammer is darker green." Some hammers are green some aren't.

I may be wrong but I think one major difference between all cloves and all anthelia is that cloves have a harder "stem".

Michael, if you met PeeWee, you'd like him (maybe). I like him except when he leaves his stanky boxers at my house.
