LOL! And as I was doing a water change yesterday, I think I gave myself 4 new scrapes cleaning out around the LR in the sump...
Some people are soooo stupid. I deserve whatever I get. Gotta get some Heavy-duty gloves.. maybe those diswashing kind. Sheesh.

There is no nail, or a sign of any nail growing back at all, other than that it is fine.

thanks.... i hate wearing my gloves... water always gets in them and i am really clumsy with them on but after seeing what happened to you it keeps me from taking them off. let me know when the nail starts growing in... i don't know why i care, but i do!

Betadine? Is this an anti-bacterial soap?? Wouldn't any anti-bacterial hand soap work??

I don't know if anyone answered your question, but Betadine is an iodine-conjugated soap solution. In the US, its available at many pharmacies and grocery stores, and does not require a prescription.

bacteria mutates constantly and it is impossible for any database to ever contain all of them. Sounds like you got a vibrio infection...supposedly vibrio is fairly common in our tanks, just most of us are lucky enough to not get it. Also, read up on palytoxin and its effects for more convincing on wearing gloves
