Anthias Bartlett's Eating

Hey all,
I'm new to this whole forum thing as well as saltwater tanks. I have a 40B with 20g sump and I just but an Anthias Bartlett against my better judgement that my tank was too small. My question is how do I know if he is eating enough? I feed 1/3 of Marine Cuisine(by Sally?) I bought from PetCO, 3 times a day. (1 full cube a day) Is that enough for him and is it the proper food? I also have a small yellow tang and two little damsels. All advice and criticism is welcome because I'm new. THANK YOU :)

IMO a 40 is too small too keep a Bartlett as well as the tang long term, also feeding the same thing everyday, even though it maybe a good food isn't healthy long term either....as with most fish a varied diet and water quality is a must for long term health... especially the tang which needs plenty of greens, agae in its diet to keep that vibriant yellow coloration and not develop HLLE...GL

Thanks! I have a marine pellet that I use every other day and I just put in an algae sheet but my tang has not took a likening to it yet. Any suggestions on a good brand? Or does it just take time for them to warm up to eat for feeding?

It can take a while for Tangs to work out that nori on a clip is food if there isn't an established fish to 'show it the ropes'. Keep offering and it'll work it out eventually. Bartletts are about the easiest anthias to feed because they will learn to eat just about anything. Mine eat pellets when none of my bimacs do.
