anthias compatiblity

I have 5 lyretail anthias now and want to add about the same number of a different species of anthias. I was thinking about Ignitus or Carberri's.

Either one be a problem?

Of the 2 which are better shippers, more likely to survive?

It's a 240 softy/lps reef tank.

Just the squabbling that is inherent with anthias.

Well the squabbling has begun.

The 5 Lyretails don't like the new smaller Ignitus and the 3 new Ignitus certainly don't like the Lyretails.

Not seeing a good outcome.

I have 6 lyretails and 8 bimacs all happily living together at the moment. Two female bimacs are beginning to lock lips but no inter species squabbles

Perhaps I should have mentioned that I always QT new fish for a couple of months so that by the time they make it got the display they are well fattened and usually able to withstand a few days of hazing. When I added a bunch of resplendents to my resident Bartletts and bimacs (no Lyretails in this tank), they got chased some and hid for almost a week. Made it through though.

I'm sure it'll sort out. Just keep an eye on them. 240 should be plenty of space for them to swim and hide. How big are your lyretails and how small are the ignitus?

The Ignitus are 1-1/2" and the Lyretails are about 2".
1/2" doesn't seem like much, but when they are next to each other, the bulk of the bigger Lyretails is apparent.
It is surprising to see the Ignitus trying to stand up to the Lyretails.

Well, after a month and the differences have been pretty much sorted out. Everybody is still alive.
The Ignitus are fine if they stay at one end of the tank.
I think the Ignitus are intimidated because of the size of the Lyretails.
I did notice yesterday that one of the Lyretails is changing color/sex.
The fins are getting darker and longer.

Now it looks like a second female may be changing.
Get a darker looking fins, almost a purple color.
