Anthias-do any eat dried food?

Considering getting a dozen or so anthias but am worried about when we leave for a weeks vacation.
Do any anthias eat flake or non-frozen food that can be dispensed while we are gone?
Thanks! :mixed:

I would not advise anthias for that type of feeding regime. They usually are finicky eaters and need to be fed several times a day. Most will not eat flake or dried food.

I pay someone to come in and feed my fish daily whenever we leave for a day or more.

Sometimes they eat dried food, but I wouldn't count on it.

When I leave I have an autofeeder go off twice a day with dry food, and have someone come over every other day and feed frozen. So far this has worked on three occasions of about a week.

I found the lyretails are'nt as picky as others. I have a school of 8 or so and they eat frozen mysis. pelets and AEFW :D

My lyre tails eat just about anything. I have been feeding them dry food mostly but occasionally some frozen food for the last 4 months. They have plumped up nice.
Dry Food:
Freeze dried Cyclopeeze
Formula 2 Flakes
Spirulina Flakes

Frozen Food:
Mysis Shrimp
Rods Food
Cyclopeeze

We have a suspension feeder setup on our Atlantic coral system. Basically it's a pyramid shaped container plumbed to a Spectrapure Litermeter that delivers food all day. Fill the container with tank water, add food, let the pump do the rest :) Pretty simple, albeit not the cheapest for automated feeding, but works very well.

i have bartletts anthias and they eat the formula one granular food and love it. i think bartletts are a bit hardier than many of the varieties though. they pretty much eat anything... formula one granular, cyclopeze, frozen mysid, brine shrimp. i have two males (not intentionally) and five females and they are very healthy and eating like little pigs.

Well i don't know if you would do a group of Borbonius. I have had mine for about 2 months and will eat anything. Regards, Tim
