Anthias hidding all the time

I've had these 2 lyretail anthias for 6 weeks, the first week they would hide and not eat, then they started eating, and come out, and in the last 3 weeks they began to hide, so they hide all day and only come out when its feeding time, but they don't seem to be scared by anything in the tank, they just seem to like to hide all day. They are in perfect health though.

Why do they hide?, I also have anohter lyretail anthias which I've had for a year and it does't hide, it has never hide, its a female, and the other two are 1 male one female, and I don't see any bullying behaviour in any case, the male seems to be the most dominant.

Do they have room to school around if they chose too? I have two lyretails (bought separately) and 3 bartlets (bought together). The bartletts are schooling fools, out all day, and they lyretails, well the older of them hides his/her little self in a twisted mess of digitata and the other hangs out and fights with the bartletts.

Personally I feel like if I had a couple more anthias they might school up but I haven't gotten around to making the purchase, nor do I really know if that will work. I will follow this thread with interest. I hope you figure it out.

I had some lyretails they started to eat. Then they started to fight. I have some carberries they are great. They eat right away.
They don't fight with each other.

Maybe get some chromis. Chromis bring your shy fish out.

What type of lighting do you have?

I believe Lyretails can have problems adapting to the lighting as many athias are deepwater fish.

I have had chromis for over a year and don't see much aggression other than a little chasing once in a while, let alone them killing each other.

I had three dispars that hid all day. But it didn't help that my bastard clownfish would chase them whenever they would come out. Needless to say, the dispars didn't make it past one month, due to stress. I also wonder if they dislike strong flow. Maybe someone can chime in on this.

Well perhaps its the light, as they seem to go out more often when atinics are on.

I have 6x80watt T5 bulbs. You realize I won't turn them off, will they still adapt with time?
