Anthias order help

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on Resplendent anthias but all they have in stock are Small females and medium males.

I was advised to try and stay towards the medium females.

Anyone have any experience with this or recommendations? I can barely find these available for order and I have a credit with LA anyways.

What I have found with resplendents is that the small females compete poorly in the DT. If you were able to grow them out a bit in QT, that would be fine. Next time I get any, they're not going on to the display until a full 2".

I have plenty to say about this! Lol. I have ordered resplendents (small) from la over 3 times already through out the year and it's hit or miss in whether they survive the shipping. Very very delicate fish . Even if they do survive shipping, many died in qt. Then after 2 weeks of qt, the survivors wouldn't really survive the main display. Took about an additional 2 weeks for them to die in there. Thank goodness for their 14 day guarantee! This happened on several different orders of small resplendents. Got too depressing so I gave up and ordered lyretails instead. They are with me to this day

I've had similar experiences but blamed it on my inexperience with QT.

I also don't have the ability to keep these long term in QT. Going to prophylactically treat with CP.

Main display has: evansi, scopas tang, swallowtail, fire fish, clowns, cardinals, and a black cap.

Yup, I believe it's called uronema, and imo, seems like chromis are very susceptible as well.

Yea. I'm ready with CP this time. I made it 18 days with the last batch I ordered before they all kicked the can within 24 hours of each other.

Not sure it's uronema because it doesn't seem to transmit beyond the anthias. Tried CP with one batch and they still all died ��

I had 6 resplendents in qt for 30 days, they were treated with CP, all of them made it through, some had weird spots on body, all cleared up withing couple of weeks. Now happy in my DT.
