Can't think of the scientific right now but the common name is Aurora Anthias and no it is not from my tank. I wish!!! I believe a deep water species in Figi. The now generic Borbonius is mine. Regards, Tim

I love anthias; this is a great thread :)

What are a good beginner Anthias that can be housed comfortably in a 55g, what size group would you recommend?

Lyretail.. beautiful and hardy and relatively peaceful..

I am hesitant to order from LA because they said they can't take requests for male/female. Any males I get are useless as I already have a male anthias in my tank. How many of each sex did they ship you?

Can anyone tell me if they have had success with P. tuka (purple anthias) long term? I have located a nice sized harem, that have been in QT for 5 weeks, and all are eating. There is no aggression, no nipped fins etc. They also all school in QT.

I'm debating their purchase, but haven't been able to locate any first hand information on keeping them. I'm mostly looking for how long you kept them, any particular unfavorable, or favorable behavior.
