Anthias Photo Library

Actually, IME, Sunbursts do shoal -- but not out in the open. They "cliff hangers," so to speak. They'll hang with their own kind but usually in a protected reef overhang.

They will get used to the light over time. I think Copps has a group of them in one of his tanks that is fairly stocked with SPS corals.

If I put 6 fasciatus in a 24" deep 240 sps tank will it be too bright for them??

I've had fasciatus now for I think about a year and they are bulletproof... they adapt very well as long as they don't have any decompression related illnesses... they are becoming more and more available from different wholesalers and the price has dropped a bit too. A beautiful and unique anthias... the bright lights don't phase them after they adapt... Here's a shot... a beautiful lyretail they have too... :)

Beautiful anthias everyone!
SDGuy, I also like your lined blenny who nonchalantly grabs some camera time :)

How long do you guys QT for typically? What is your QT setup like? I'd like to have a few bimacs and a larger group of Lyretails for my new tank but not sure how many (lyretails) I can actually handle in my QT setup? It's a 55g with 2 autofeeders, and a Remora hang on skimmer. Also do you recommend Praziquantel or ?? Hope you don't mind the questions on your pic thread :)

The O. borbonis were around last Spring, supposedly coming from Bali (or at least through Bali). The one I got then had a swim bladder problem from from which it never recovered. This one came in with a few others about a month or so ago. I am not sure from where, but it was considerably more expensive than the first go around. It maybe tops out at 1 1/2 inches. Eats like a champ.

I tried to get all of them in one shot.It didn't quite worked out that way. Here are most of them-bartletts,evansi,dispar,resplendent,tuka,lyretails and carberryi( my favorite).

Wow, they look great! Congrats! Those are some tough anthias to keep. How long have you had them? What do you feed?
