Anthias selection help

Lyetails are a great, attractive and hardy choice. I prefer getting all small females and letting them work out who gets to be male.

Today I just picked up a trio of female lyretails.
I chose the largest one and then two of the smallest. The first dorsal fin spine was a tad bit longer also. So hopefully she'll become he.

Lyre tails are easy to keep have 2 diferent colorations depending on we're they are collected . Plus are just great to watch and inexpensive.

I was planning on getting just the standard Maldives lyretails until I saw the Red Sea lyretails in the next tank over.
The difference in coloration was striking!
Quite a bit more orange and red (Red Sea) than the yellow and orange (Maldives).
And for only $50 more, I got the Red Sea trio.

Yeah, I know. Pics to come.

I'd start them on cyclop-eeze, and then move to pellets... When I first introduced my anthias, they didn't eat anything, until I tried cyclop-eeze. Only after a few weeks, did they start eating pellets. Now they eat everything.

I made a acrylic box to use with my eheim auto feeder

Just allows me to feed the fishes so the flake foods don't float away into the overflow. It allows the flakes to saturate and sink to the tank

Does anyone know if there is any difference in the eehiem fish feeder and the ehiem turtle feeder? They look the same. Local pet store has turtle feeder but all out of tithe fish feeder

I just opened and set up my Eheim fish feeder a few minutes ago. Works fantastic and super easy to use.

I have a borbonius anthia... only one tho... haven't been able to locate a second or third for my little buddy. When I move the fish to the new location and set up my 300gal i was thinking of getting some lyretails they look awesome but wondering how my borb will feel about it.
