Anthony Calfo will be speaking at our next meeting on Saturday June 19th at 6pm at Elmers Aquarium in Monroeville.

Details on the topic will be posted as soon as they are confirmed.

Wow, it great we know a head of time and not the day before like prior months...lol

How is the raffle looking?

Hey Tom,

I think we are going to have people post what corals they are going to bring to the raffle ahead of time. This will only be for corals that are donated to the club for the raffle and not corals that are for sale. I think Dave is going to have something up for that soon on the PMAS site. As far as other items for the raffle, I am not sure. I expect we should have lots of Coral. You missed a really good raffle last month!

The topic will be: Holistic Reefkeeping

You are encouraged to participate and bring your questions!!!

Hello,

First I want to thank the great members of PMAS for being so helpful, supportive and generous with the frags they have donated for the past five months of raffels. I am just starting out with corals and have gotten a tremendous amount of enjoyment from the frags I won and few given to me at meetings.

I want to add some color to my tank and it seems that at each meeting I hear about people discarding pulsing Xenia and Zoathids to make room for other more exotic corals. I am not to that level yet and would really like to try these types and other colorful corals such as clove and red/blue mushrooms. I would appreciate the opportunity to save some of these before they are discarded.

Thanks again for the great effort,

Chris R.

Ray,
is anyone going to video tape Anthony? I forgot Baldwin is having there school picnic at Kennywood and I won't be able to make the meeting.

Mind if a neighbor from the CORA club hangs out? I need to be in the area anyways. May hang out with you folks. The last time I was there, you had a guest speaker and a raffle afterwards. I cant remember who the guy was that was the "announcer" but he had very creative scientific names for everything. Good times.

Sure, please stop by!

The announcer was probably Sam, he hasn't been around for a while. His names always cracked me up.

were you able to attend?

Paul, did not tape the talk.

Between the weather and every major highway in the city being under construction it took me 1.5 hours to get there so I missed the first 20 minutes or so.
