I have been planning an in-wall glass tank, viewable on the two long sides, for a while and finally, I have ordered the tank from Aquariums for You. Their prices are reasonable and my sales rep has been very responsive. The only draw back is that the tank will not be delivered until mid July. This is my first saltwater tank and I am very excited about the build.
The dimensions of the tank are 60â€Âx30â€Âx26†and it will have holes in the euro bracing for running wires if needed. The overflow box will be external on one of the short sides of tank and has a 1.5’ drain and a 1†return (sufficient for a tank this size?). There will also be a 1.5 hole drilled through the overflow box into the main tank for the intake to a closed loop. The closed loop will be fed by a Sequence Barracuda through an OM 4way, with the returns in the bottom of the tank. The return from the sump will be fed by a Dart pump through two sea swirls. My dream is to work my way up to a mostly SPS tank.
Below is a drawing of the tank. If anyone notices any obvious design flaws, please point them out. I will be most grateful for any additional thoughts and recommendations.
