Any clams that don't attach?

I was looking into getting a T.maxima clam but i see they attach themselves and i run a BB tank, id rather it not attach to my rockwork seeing as i only have a 20g H tank and don't have much rock available for it to attach.

Is there any other way where i could put one in my tank and just set it on the starboard? would it be ok?

is there anyway i could leave it on my BB? Or put rubble under it would that work?

Get a small piece of rock and put him on it. Once he attached, you can move hime where ever you want. Essentially any piece of solid that won't harm your reef is fine.
