Any custom stand builders?

So does anybody here build custom stands? I don't have the time or the confidence in my handy work to build my own stand.

So if anyone wants to build a "simple" custom stand for a 30 gallon tank let me know! Of course I'll pay for it.

All I'm looking for is a single door stand with 3 shelves inside as the system is sumpless.

I agree. Unless you want something really fancy it's pretty easy to do. Especially for a small tank. What are the dimensions of that tank? I have an old stand for a 20g that may work.

I am about to finish a stand for my soon to be set up 120, and it was not as hard as I thought it would be. I have never built anything before and bairley had a hand in building this besides holding and measuring things. All you need is a good friend who has a lot of tools and some time on their hands.

I'm about to finish an extension for my stand. Not hard at all, and it can swallow up to a 30g sump. Now, if I could only do a better job staining the wood..

What dimensions does your 30g have? I have this 33g Oceanic 'cube' with the Oceanic stand which is built quite well. Only problem with it is that you can't put a large sump inside (thus why I'm building my extension).

A "simple" stand is very easy. All you are making is a box (cabinet) with shelves. I know someone that won't charge you anything except labor. Look on the web for a design you want and let me know.

Its very easy, here's something I did for a 55g, just a 2x4 frame with the cheapest pannelling boards I could find to fill in the sides and make the doors. All of it stained.

The doors out of 2x4's too

Just the 2x4 frame

I put these on the bottom so I could level it as my floors are horrible

And I bought some brass colored finished screws to make everything look nice

I did a similar stand for my 30g saltwater tank with just four 2x4's instead of six for the legs and I put a pices of plywood on the top. I actually made the stand about 4 inches too deep so that I could have a front ledge to put stuff on.
