I have a 8 bulb t5 with one plug. I would like to split them into two or three so I can do more dusk to dawn.

It's a simple generic. 4 manual on off switches and one electrical plug.

You would need to buy additional cords, open up the fixture and individually wire the power side of the ballast (3 wires per ballast) I am assuming the are all currently wired to the manual switches. Post pics and we can help

Most generic T5s are powered by workhorse ballast, they look like the picture above, the left side is the power side that typically have 3 wires , this is where you would wire that cord to
