Has anyone had experience with the Bermuda Aquatics skimmers? I was thinking of getting the BPS-3C skimmer and I was just offered a used one for 80$. Any thoughts is it good enough for 75 gal reef with sump?

I have one in my 120g tank, and I have no complaints at all....one of the best skimmers for the price I'd say...for $80 its a steal!..I'd def. go for it

$80 does sound like a very good price. they are good skimmers
does that price include a pump and if so, what pump?

it does include a pump... not sure as of right now the guy didnt get back to me on the pump yet... i will let you guys know... what pump do you think i should run on it?

Bermuda Aquatics recommends sedra 5000, rio 2500, or rio HF but thats them so any help would help...

I will see what pump im getting with it and go from there

I'm running a 3C on my 125 reef (185 total gals) and I'm very happy with it. Sometimes I feel that I should be getting more output, but I like the fact that it really needs no adjustment once you have it dialed in. I wash the cup each week and it produces a nice frothy, disgusting foam.

for that price I would go with it. It is probably the older one with a slide tube. But the new ones have a gate valve and are a little nice to adjust. Well built skimmers.

I have the rogue wave hang on. I'm pretty sure they all use the same venturi device. I like it a lot. Really easy to tune and I can quickly produce dry or wet skimmate. I'm sure their other models will perform just as well.

mojo it is one with a slide tube because i didnt see the gate vavle on the picture is that a bad thing or still a good deal?

hey mojo I just read your review... and was wondering you said it can be run external and internal to the sump? oo and how does the slide tube work compared to the gate valve?

the slide tub as to be run internal but they work the same. The gate valve model can be run external as you can plumb the output into your sump. The slide tube moves up an down and its height is the height inside the skimmer (water). Where hte gate valve is lower and uses back pressure to adjust the water level inside the skimmer. I like the gate valve better but for the price that will be a good deal.

for $80 if you don't want it....I DO !!!! :D

i had one for my bigger build but had to sell it to pay tax bill :( ....looked to be a great skimmer & i still regret selling it
