Any future plans for an Ecotech aquarium controller?

While I have never owned anything from Ecotech (that will change soon when my L1's arrive ), I am wondering if there are any plans to introduce an aquarium controller? It seems like it would be the next logical thing for you to add to your lineup as well as incorporate in with ESL.

It is unlikely that EcoTech will give you an answer on this since they don't talk about products in the pipeline.

That being said....

A controller would be cool. It seems like Reef equipment is quickly moving to proprietary hardwire that is all linked via the cloud. Only time will tell is EcoTech heads that way. I will be excited to buy one if it ever existed so I could have one unified equipment front.

I'd prefer to not have all my eggs in one basket. That way if there's a failure it'd be more manageable. Can you imagine everything on your tank failing at the same time?

That was always been a fear of mine. I used to run the Apex and while I would have hardware issues from time to time the support was/is awesome for it. Earlier in the year I switched to profilux where the hardware is amazing I find the support to be difficult to obtain and slow. I have always maintained back up pumps and heaters in the event of failure but never thought about doing that for my controllers. I would love to another reputable name enter the controller market and provide another option.
