Any ideas for removing scratches on acrylic tank?

I just purchased a 30 gallon hex, acrylic, that has some swirls in on the inside of the tank. Is there any effective way to remove them? Also, what is a good way to remove all the residual coraline and green algae from the previous owner. Thanks in advance. I look forward to joining the Davenport group at a future meeting.

you can use vinegar for the coraline and you can actually buy a kit for removing scratches, I think fosters and smith has one and I'm sure many other online renders would carry them
