any ideas on what to add?

i have a 20G w/ a stripped dotty back and a fire clown. i wanna add another fish maybe, maybe a blenny or a goby. i am also thinking about maybe doing a cleaner or peppermint shirmp? i thought maybe a six line wrasse, but again, idk. its not a huge tank, but the two fish look a bit lonely. i have a ric and some buttons and zoos, and too much aptasia to think about. any recommendations? :-D

Since peppermint shrimp eat apitasia, that sounds like a good place to start. If you still have an open top, I think a wrasse might jump out, just something to consider.

ive got a glass top on it with the back covered as well, so there is very very very little space. i also need fish that wont outgrow the tank to much or too fast.

MY 2c. I have gone through tons of pepermint shrimp trying to rid aptasia in the past and have never been successful. With a 20 gal tank I would take out the rock and ask your lfs if you could place it in one of their tanks with a butterfly. It feeds their fish and cleans your rock win win. Six line wrasse can get to be little aggressive I would go with a four line. A pearly jaw or watchman goby with pistol shrimp are great in smaller tanks. Tailspot blenny is also a great fish or yellow sailfin blenny. I could go on and on. I would go to your LFS and and see what they have for small tanks.Maybey you could look through a good fish book and make a list to see if they can order it for you.

I would be careful with adding a cleaner or peppermint shrimp as the dottyback might kill them. Just a thought.

agreed....cleaner shrimp would make an expensive meal......why not add another fire clown? that way you have a pair. unless you get a blenny that will eat flake I wouldn't add one to your tank being that there doesn't appear to be any algae.....besides corraline ;-)

You could get some algae strips for the blenny to eat on. Add a goby or maybe a jawfish. The jawfish is quite the character to watch! If you get a blenny, IMO the starry blenny is a beautiful fish.
