Any ideas?

For the past few days I am seeing the tissue being peeled off from the top of my A. selago. It happened to a small branch about two days ago and now today on this branch. The interesting part is all the other polyps are open and looks healthy along with the coral. I basted the coral with a turkey baster and some tissues peeled off from the infected area. Any ideas on whats causing this?

PS. My (Ca, Alk, Po4 and No3 is stable) and I have cut off the infected areas with a bone cutter.

Thanks in advance,
Shiladitya

the first thing that i would ask is what are your levels at? I know you say they are all good but what are the readings? and my second question is how old is the tank? and the third question is what lighting?

@trueblackpercula

Water Parameters:

Ca - 420ppm
Alk - 8.2dKH
Po4 - < 0.1

The tank is fairly new being only 9 months old. Corals were added around 5 months ago. The lights are Ecotech Radions.

@toothman

Well its quite near to one but not exactly in its trajectory.

@Jr

My alk levels are stable and I really mean it. 0.5dKH swing over the last 6 months.
Changes? Well I added a twin spot goby last week and haven't seen it since. :(

@davidlee

I have only 2 lps in the tank and the closest one is about 12 inches away.

Yesterday only I lowered the intensity. My first clue was top-down tissue loss which is quite unusual. Maybe running the radions at 75% 10k was producing too much par. At what intensity do you run yours?
