Hi group. Just checking to see if any of you are interested in growing your own phytoplankton. If so, perhaps it can be a meeting topic. I would be happy to share my experiences so others can benefit in growing phyto and raising rotifers. It can be a fun and rewarding experiment that really doesn't cost much. Most of you already have all the nesesary equipment at home to start a culture. If there is any interest we can set something up.

All beneficial aspects of phyto in my tank are speculation. The coral seems very happy reguardless of the high nitrates that I used to have. The nitrates are down now and the corals continue to be happy. Also you will notice filter feeders thriving. I have three muscle type clams that came out of nowhere and continue to grow. Even though current litterature states that clams dont eat nanno chlor. Go figure. I can say that the coral is very colorful and brown out when put in some of other peoples tanks. All specutalion however.
