Any Local GHL Profilux users?

Just curious if anyone locally is using the Profilux controller. I am in the market for a controller and have settled on the Profilux 4.

I was also considering the APEX and Reef Angel controllers how ever as I try to configure them for what I want I find them to be very 'clunky'. For example all of the modules to expand... daisy chain city. Reef Angel is probably the worse because every time you expand you need an expansion box plus what ever module you are adding. Couple that with the fact that most of the modules require a 12v power supply. Apex is somewhat better in that each module daisy chains to the next. But still cables and modules everywhere.

What I really like about the Profilux is the architecture. Clean, expansion cards like a pc. Sure there is an expansion box but again plugin cards. The only downside out of the box for me with the profilux is the power bar has only 6 outlets so I will need a second one.

I run a reef angel. One expansion hub will run multiple devices and it's power comes from the relay box, with the new version ,the reef angel star I am pretty sure that it's the same. You get alot for your money that is for sure.

I am looking to monitor pH, salinity, ORP, temp x2, two heaters, 5 level switches, 2 dosing pumps, jebao wave pumps x3, return pump and lights. What would you suggest is needed to set up a reef angel?

I would go to the forum and post what you want to do. They will be able to come up with something. Or at least be able to help you with your decision.

I had a GHL years ago. It was a cool machine but the customer service was horrible at the time. If something wasn't working right the customer was always to blame and the cost for things were substantially higher than the alternatives.

Can't comment if its still that way now but it was bad enough for me to take a significant loss selling it, then revert back to Neptune.

I've used Neptune for over 10 years and wouldn't change.

FWIW

Funny thing is people are saying the same thing about Apex now.
