Any locals doing the maxijet mod?

I remember a post a while back about someone who was offering to do maxijet mods locally. Is that person around or is there someone else doing them?

I have 2 of the ones that were being sold. In my opinion seios are better, and cheaper.

I've put both impeller designs next to a seio 620. The seio clearly had more flow. Not to mention the impellers breaking/out of balance etc. on the MJ mods.

Guys in the DIY forum are using RC boat props, and claim the flow is more than the tuze 6060's. I find it hard to belive.

Tunze is coming out with some nano stream pumps this fall that look awesome. The smallest one is supposed to retail for around $70

having tried Maxi-Jet mod i agree with ScottFarcus, being that Seio's are cheap alternatives with a better track record, or drop the loot for the Tunze or Vortex

I have a MJ-1200 mod for sale if you are interested. I just don't need it since i put in two tunzes. Its been in my tank for 2 weeks and cost me 50 bucks, so if your interested PM me with an offer. They do blow a decent amount of flow thou.

That's a fair price coralfarmer84, but I already have the maxijet. I'm really leaning towards a seio or something else as scott suggested.
