Just wondering if any of you are having good luck with these? I know Keri is, how about anyone else? I need to upgrade mine in the near future.

we had a 125 and it worked pretty good. the dial nob was very touchy and sometimes hard to adjust. it flooded quite a few times because of this.

I have a 125, and it pulls lots of dark, stinky scum. I have to clean the chamber every two days. The discharge knob is touchy, but I'm going to replumb it with pvc and a gate valve to control the water level.

After running my CSS125 for over a week I have to agree about the touchy adjustment knob. Once I got it dialed in though it was not a problem at all. And I just used the enclosed hose and ran it to a gallon bottle instead of emptying the cup every 3 days. Much easier. :)

They work great. If you pull the flex tube out (discharge) regular PVC fits in there. 3/4" on the 65, and 1" on the 125 and 220. This allows you to be able to better aim the dump, and add a gate valve for control if you wish.

Fishmaniac has a few in stock and for a little more you wont have to worry about CS. You also have to remember shipping costs

wouldn't you have to deal with corallife for customer support if something on the skimmer broke? like the pump, wouldn't they have to replace it not the LFS or where you bought it?

good point nikonosis. Im been slapping my hands lately because I have been a lazy online shopper. I just figured gas prices, time etc didnt relate much. I got in with a large group order with ORCA so I promise to more supportive of our LFS. My 90 is stuffed to the gills and I need a larger skimmer. And I was thinking about going NAno, but I thinka found a place and talked the better half into a larger tank. I am looking at maybe a 125 in the future.

I am sure that the LFS has more leverage with their venders and can offer a quicker replacement. With online shopping you will have to ship it back and wait for a replacement to be shipped to you, that is if they do replace it. In the mean time your tank is running w/o the product you just bought. Also online companies are more likely to ignore you. Plus you have to pay to ship it.

but who's tank can't go without a skimmer for a few days, even a week? There are people on RC with big tanks that don't even use skimmers. If the pump breaks on the skimmer is the LFS he bought it from going to just replace the pump or are they going to give him an entire new skimmer? Can they even get the pump? I thought all warranties on almost all aquarium equipment says to deal with the manufactuer and not the store you bought it from... I have never had an online company ignore me and I have bought tons and tons of stuff off the internet. Thats false info because any store could ignore you. You don't have to pay to ship something back if it breaks and is still under warranty, they RMA it and they pay for the shipping.

i guess there is something wrong with talking about ordering stuff online on this forum... isn't this forum supposed to be about people helping each other out in our club?
