Any news about the Nanostreams yet?

Roger, Question for you. I have a 90 gallon Reef tank. Would i be better off getting one 6055 or two 6045's for the price? My wife will not allow more than $200 in pumps. Thanks!

I called marine depot and asked them if they will be carring the nanostreams since they carry other tunze products. They said that they want to carry them but they have to hear back from their tunze supplier first and that it may be a couple of months before they are in stock.

mdrumm, I would need more first hand experience to answer that.

Jordan, trust me, they will have them.

roger, you mentioned one of the smaller ones only had a two foot long stream........how about the 6045 and 6055?

Have a 4 foot mixed reef tank I was thinking on getting two 6045

I really would need more experience with them but I would safely say that the reach is 3ft and 4ft respectively. I have only used the 6025.

It is in the water, it is a traditional powerhead just very small and with a ball shape allowing it to pivot in all directions in the included magnet holder, they use hardly any power, 7W and 8W for the two synchronous models and 15W for the controllable model.

though not a traditional powerhead in the ense that the flow is more like that of a stream correct.....a wider less focused flow...like a mini stream so to speak.

Hey, I think you're onto to something. Instead of mini stream though, they could call it a 'nanostream'.

The second anyone see's a site that is selling them or taking pre-orders in the US post here.

:spin2:

Will "kits" (such as the TS07/TS12/TS24/TS48), with multicontroller and 1/2/4/8? controllable streams be released as well?

I was going to use a TS24 kit in my 6x2x2 reef, but a multicontroller and four 6055s would provide almost as much flow, but with more adjustability, and if such a kit were price comparable to the TS24, I'd certainly take it...

yeah yeah yeah......

The kits are only to illustrate the combination possibilities, there is no discount on kits. I would still recommend the TS24 for a tank of that size as the flow pattern of the nano stream is geared toward smaller tanks.

Can you use a singlecontroller on the 6055, or can it only be controlled by the multi? I will end up having an extra single controller from my 6100 when I upgrade my tank later.
