Any news about the Nanostreams yet?

The nano streams are about half the size, so I guess total area occupied of 4 vs 2 is the same, it is just I think 2 pumps are less obtrusive personally. Yes, they do swivel left to right about 45 degrees.

I think I am to new to the hobbie,(I have never had a tank of any kind), to specifically say what I plan to keep. It largely depends on my success. I hope to keep a range of SPS, LPS, softies, shrimp and reef friendly fish. I have not specifically identified any one species. I know that does not narrow it much. I do love the look of my neighbors tank, which is why I shared the link. He has 3-6200's.

I was wondering if I coud be successful with two 6055's or now the 6000's that you were discussing.

man im waitin..

i just got my seio m1100s in and waiting to get those 6025's to put in the back or maybe get the 45's to put on the sides and then the seios on the back.

Don't jump into SPS so soon because they are about the hardest ones to keep. Start slow with some softies and work your way up gradually. I have been into saltwater fish for around 10 years and have just begun to take the sps challenge after years of reading. You have to learn to understand what it takes to just keep your water stable by keeping all of your parameters in check. Starting off quick if you plan to do so will only bring heartache and a fat hole in your wallet, not to say that there's one already in mine, but knowing how to care for your system will make it that much more rewarding. Thanks gcantu. I should have been a little clearer. I was planning on starting out with FOWLR. After achieving some comfort, gradually adding some softie. After time, if I am still ok, some LPS. And then even more time, some SPS. I will be very patient. It could take me a little time to be comfortable.

I purchased my tank in March of this year and the only other purchase I have made is a Euro Reef RC-135. I have been researching skimmers for some time and it appears to be a frontrunner. I got a great deal on it. If I had not gotten that deal I was going to holdout for the Tunze Master DOC 9420.

They were delayed slightly pending GS approval. Unfortunately they (GS) frown on selling anything until the safety mark process is finished, even if it would be sold outside the GS regions. We now expect them to start leaving the factory in Mid October and be on dealer shelves by the end of October.

Thanks. Safety First!

Water and live current don't mix? The devil you say!

Roger - how would a single 6025 work in one of the 14 gallon Oceanic cubes - 2' flow? Seems like these are going to be more effective in a conventional 10 gal or 20 long?

It is pretty strong flow but it will work, though the sand moves and there will not be any "quiet spots"

Take care, Mike.

I have not been told anything different but the clock is definitely ticking. Until Mr Tunze returns from the CIPS show in China I cannot get any further info, when he left all parts were in stock and the safety approvals had been granted and production was set to begin.
