kinda harsh. It's personal preference, give it time and you too will want heavy actinics to make the coral pop. Almost all long time SPS reefers like it this way to a certain extent.

I didn't mean it that way though. I mean everyone can have blue corals with actinics blasted on their bleeched out corals.

Regardless, there are some really nice blue corals here.

Those are definitely blue, great looking pictures.

I think it is a misconception to new hobbyists that blue light can make your corals go blue. I have seen to many 20k plus actinic light setups to count but have never seen a lighting system capable of making a coral blue that is not. Maybe accentuate the blue or pop the blue but you can get blue from a coral that doesnt have it already. I think this misconception comes from pictures of blue tanks and corals...but the problem is the picture and improper white balance.

Besides everyone knows that the best blues come from 10k lights
